The wait is finally over and the trailer of Salman Khan's "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" ("PRDP") is out.

Rajshri Productions took to their Twitter handle to unveil the much awaited trailer.

The trailer starts with Sonam Kapoor, who plays a princess, dancing to soft music with a magnificent royal setting in the back drop, while Salman Khan makes a grand royal entry in the palace as prince Prem.

The trailer looks colourful and eye-pleasing, much like director Sooraj Barjatya's previous films, but with a modern touch.

The film has Salman play double role and the trailer too showcased a glimpse of the actor's other role. However, Barjatya has managed to keep the suspense of the film, thereby increasing curiosity among viewers.

Going by the 2.8-minute trailer, "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" looks promising and despite being a family drama, is different from its predecessors.

It now remains to be seen if "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" manages to make a lasting impression like that of Salman and Barjatya's "Hum Saath Saath Hain" (1999), "Main Pyaar Kiya" (1989) and "Hum Aapke Hai Koun" (1994).

"PRDP" is slated to be released this Diwali and apart from the lead actors, the film also features Anupam Kher, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Armaan Kohli, Swara Bhaskar and Deepak Dobriyal in pivotal roles.
