Dhaka, Dec 09 (ANI): Bangladesh reeled under a spate of violence by the country's main opposition, BNP and its fundamentalist ally, the Jamaat-e-Islami, as it de-stabilized peace and crippled normal life, creating fresh tensions ahead of the elections. Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, media advisor to the Bangladesh Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina said that these are desperate attempts by the Jamaat to keep itself relevant. While the government has cracked down on violent protests, the BNP and its allies have not let up their pressure tactics even a bit.
