Poonch, Nov 08 (ANI): The power department of Jammu and Kashmir has started working on restoration work of power supply after the valley was destroyed in the recent floods. Hundreds of people were killed and thousands of villages were devastated by the worst flooding in decades in the Kashmir valley in September. Meanwhile, an executive engineer of Electricity Division in Poonch district, Mohammad Maqbool Nayak, said that one of the transformers in the area was damaged, which led to power crisis in the area. He further said they had borrowed power from Rajouri district and are working on installing another transformer to meet the requirements. He also added that the power supply in Poonch will be restored to 95 percent in another 10 to 15 days.
