Renowned keyboard player Kannan Sooraj, 44, was found dead at his studio in Kanjikuzhy in Kerala on Monday morning. His driver Vipin reportedly informed the police about the artist's death.
The police visited the studio and later registered a case based on their initial inquiry. The cause of death was not known yet. The police sent the body for post-mortem examination.
Kannan's father Kalavoor Balan is a composer and has been active in the music industry for 22 years.
Kannan had begun his music career as keyboard artist while working with many popular music directors like Raveendran, Mohan Sitara, M Jayachandran, MG Radhakrishanan, MK Arjunan and Johnson.
He rose to popularity after appearing in some popular TV reality shows and music shows.
