Pune is all set for a performance from Spanish music sensation, Enrique Iglesias.

The pop singer, who is presently touring the subcontinent, arrived at Pune International Airport on Tuesday evening a day before his concert in the city.

"It feels great to be back in India. The last time I was here was in 2004. It has been many years but I'm happy to be here," Enrique said at the airport, according to Indian Express.

The pop star and his team also expressed their excitement in tasting Indian food. "I am looking forward for Indian food. While I am here I want to walk around the city and try out some good food," he said.

The 37-year-old Grammy award singer travelled from Los Angeles in a 22-hour chartered flight for a three-city tour in the country.

"I had to fly for 22 hours and now I am going to take some rest at the hotel. The main thing is to get as much rest as possible because I have only one day off between each of the concerts in the three cities," Enrique said.

Arrangements have been made for around 12,000 people, also special modifications have been made to the stage on Enrique's request," Prasad Kamat, head of events at Amanora Town Centre said.

After his performance in Amanora Park town in Pune, Enrique's next concert is scheduled to take place at HUDA Grounds in Gurgaon on Oct 19 and at NICE Grounds in Bangalore on Oct 21.

The singer said he was excited to perform again in front of an Indian audience. "It's been a long time since my last tour in India and I have been dying to come back and perform in front of one of the best and craziest crowds in the world!" The Times of India quoted Enrique as saying.

"I'm excited about this visit and promise to give a great show and do my best so everyone has a great time. It's going to be awesome," he added.

This is Enrique's second visit to India. He last performed in 2004 in Mumbai and Bangalore.
