Singapore appoints special envoy to Andhra Pradesh

Hyderabad, Feb 26 (ANI): Singapore government appointed senior policy strategist, Gopinath Pillai, as its special envoy to Andhra Pradesh to speed up construction of new capital of the state. Presently, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana share Hyderabad as joint capital. The appointment was announced by Singapore Foreign Minister K Shanmugam and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu during a news conference at the secretariat in capital Hyderabad on Thursday. The Singapore government will be presenting the first-phase of draft master plan of the new capital by June. Naidu said he was happy and content with the working style of Singapore government.
