New Delhi, Feb 03 (ANI): Congress and AAP on Tuesday attacked BJP over the release of its vision document for the upcoming Delhi Assembly Polls. Congress leader Sheila Dikshit said that BJP does not have any new vision for the capital and they have only quoted what Congress party has already done in the state. Congress leader PC Chacko said that not having a manifesto for elections is against democracy. New Delhi, Feb 03 (ANI): Amid accusations of the party receiving funds from fake companies, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has demanded a Supreme Court monitored Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe funding of all three major parties in Delhi polls. Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, "5 AAP leaders will go to SC today at 10.30 am to submit an application for an SIT probe into funding of BJP, Cong n AAP."AAP leader Ashutosh further tweeted, "AAP will write letters to BJP and Congress presidents requesting to cooperate in SIT probe about their fundings for clean politics. Let me ask will Amit Shah and Sonia Gandhi accept AAP's proposal of SIT PROBE ? If yes then they should announce today!"The party's demand come a day after an activists group calling themselves AVAM (AAP Volunteer Action Manch), alleged that last year the party received 50 lakhs through four bogus companies that were fronts for money-laundering. He further said that this is the round tripping of black money into the political system. Rajasthan Home Minister tests positive for swine flu

Udaipur, Feb 03 (ANI): Rajasthan Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria tested positive for swine flu and is recuperating in his residence. On Sunday evening, Gulab Chand Kataria complained of cold, cough, bad throat, fever. The next day he was tested for the H1N1 virus and by evening it was known that the test report was positive. According to reports, ten more people succumbed to swine flu in Rajasthan counting the death toll to 49 this year. Devotees take holy dip in Varanasi to mark 'Magh Purnima'

Varanasi, Feb 03 (ANI): Thousands of devotees took a dip at 'Sangam', the confluence of river Ganges, Yamuna and mythical Saraswati, in the holy city of Varanasi of Uttar Pradesh on the auspicious occasion of full moon day or Magh Purnima on Tuesday. Magh Purnima marks the last day of the month of Magh (January-February) in the Hindu calendar. Devout Hindus stated gathering at the river bank from early in the morning to perform religious rituals. They queued up before priests who had erected makeshift altars on the riverbanks to perform the rituals and offer prayers. Apart from taking a dip in the holy waters, devotees also donate food and clothes on this day. A devotee, Hiranand Pandey said that the tradition is being followed for years now. The month-long festival was marked in Allahabad city and was attended by over 25 lakh pilgrims. According to Hindu practice, a dip at the holy confluence breaks the cycle of rebirth. Feb 3, 2015

BJP alleges AAP accepts black money as funds

New Delhi, Feb 03 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party questioned the source of Aam Aadmi Party's funding, alleging that AAP accepted black money, ahead of Delhi polls. The BJP alleged that shell companies were created to transfer rupees 20 million to the AAP on April 05, 2014, while official records pointed that these companies didn't make any profit and had common directors. The BJP further added that AAP circumvented Indian laws to accept donation from foreign company. But the party was silent on initiation of probe against the AAP. Meanwhile, AAP leader Yogendra Yadav asked the central government to initiate investigation into allegations. Bangladesh delegation arrives in Tripura to discuss cross-border crimes

Agartala, Feb 03 (ANI): A team of Bangladeshi delegation arrived in Tripura to hold District Magistrate (DM) and Deputy Commissioner (DC) level talks to resolve trans-border issues. Indian officials received the 25-member delegation at Akhaura checkpost (between India and Bangladesh) in which besides the district heads, district police heads, officials of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) were also present. The team consists of heads of those four districts of Bangladesh that share border with Tripura. The Bangladeshi delegation will meet with their Indian counterparts on Tuesday to discuss issues related to curbing border crimes and to increase trade between the northeastern states and Bangladesh. Two policemen killed, six injured in Maoist attack in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, Feb 03 (ANI): Two policemen were killed and six other security personnel injured when heavily-armed Maoists opened fire on them in Chhattisgarh. The local police, along with paramilitary Border Security Force (BSF) were conducting a combing operation in Pakhanjur area of Kanker district following a tip off when Maoists in large numbers attacked the security personnel. Authorities had rushed a chopper to airlift the injured personnel and sent reinforcements to the site to nab rebels. The Maoists, also known as Naxals in India, are inspired by the political philosophy of China's late Chairman Mao Zedong.
