Police arrest four on charges of forging travel papers for Pakistan citizens

Godhra, Jan 17 (ANI): Police in Gujarat have claimed to have unearthed a forgery scam facilitating visas for visiting Pakistani citizens illegally. Police said they have arrested four persons so far from Godhra who were found forging travel documents on the basis of which Pakistani citizens were getting their Indian visas from Islamabad. Police tighten security near Taj Mahal after US warns of militant threat

Agra, Jan 17 (ANI): Security has been tightened in and around Taj Mahal in Agra ahead of US President Barack Obama's visit. The US president will arrive in New Delhi on January 25 and hold discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who visited Washington in September. An official agenda has not been released. According to media reports, Obama is likely to visit Taj Mahal. Senior police officials said they were taking no chances with security after an alert from US intelligence that militants operating from Pakistan could target the Agra-Delhi Yamuna expressway. High-rise building under construction in Mumbai catches fire

Mumbai, Jan 17 (ANI): A massive fire broke out at a 42-storeyed building which was under construction at the Omkar Alta Monte complex, Malad (East) on Friday night. The fire started around 11 p.m. According to reports, it broke out on the 37th floor and later spread to the 42nd floor. Fire tenders and officials were rushed to the spot. Emotional Pope Francis confronts Typhoon Haiyan victims in Philippines

Philippines, Jan 17 (ANI): An emotional Pope Francis, wearing a plastic poncho over his vestments to protect him from the wind and rain on Saturday, comforted survivors of Typhoon Haiyan, the Philippines' worst natural disaster that killed about 6,300 people 14 months ago. Tens of thousands of people wearing yellow raincoats cheered when Francis emerged from his plane in the coastal city of Tacloban, 650 km (400 miles) southeast of Manila. Worshippers, many with tears in their eyes, stood amid puddles in a mud-soaked field as the pope comforted them. He said he "respected the feelings" of those who felt they had been let down by God because of the disaster but implored them to move forward in their faith. The study revealed just how much bacteria is on the phone and it's pretty gross, an online portal reported. Bacteria use all sorts of things as vectors in order to transmit insects, water, food, coughs and sneezes, or sexual contact.
