BSP MP'S wife detained for murder charge, MP says was not present on the spot

New Delhi, Nov 5 (ANI): A maid servant was found dead under mysterious circumstances at BSP MP Dhananjay Singh's South Avenue residence on Tuesday. Reports have quoted Delhi Police investigating officers as saying that the death could be due to torture. The lawmaker's wife Jagriti Singh is being questioned. The deceased was found with bruises on her head, stomach and all over her body. Post-mortem report is awaited to ascertain the cause of her death. The woman had been working at the residence of the BSP MP for the last 10 months. Dhananjay Singh is the sitting Member of Parliament from Uttar Pradesh's Jaunpur. Nov 5, 2013
