Bangladesh BNP starts three-day strike, at least five people killed

Dhaka, Oct 28 (ANI): Bangladesh opposition party Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), began its three-day strike in the country that left at least five people dead and many others injured and also lead to destruction of property across Bangladesh. The BNP commenced the strike on Sunday, demanding a caretaker government during the upcoming national elections in 2014. Oommen Chandy hurt as LDF protesters started stone pelting

Kannur, Oct 28 (ANI): Kerala chief minister Oommen Chandy was injured after protesters pelted stones at his car in Kannur town. Chandy sustained minor injuries on his forehead and his car’s windowpanes were broken when an ongoing campaign by CPI (M)-led LDF over the solar panel scam turned violent on Sunday evening. According to local media, provincial main opposition CPI (M) could be behind the protest.
