Commonwealth countries agree to support less developed nations

Colombo, Nov 18 (ANI): As the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) came to a close, member countries agreed in unison to support small and less developed nations in the pool, which forms one-fifth of global trade. The summit took place in the island nation under the shadow of allegations of abuse by the Sri Lankan government four years after a civil war against Tamil separatists ended. President of Sri Lanka, Mahinda Rajapaksa, said that the member countries had also agreed to tap the potential of intra-Commonwealth trade and investment. Nov 18, 2013

GoM to meet over bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh

New Delhi, Nov 18 (ANI): The Group of Ministers (GoM), which is looking after the proposed bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh will wrap up the consultation process on Monday after meeting Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and all Union ministers representing the state separately. Reddy has already stated that he will oppose the state's division before the GoM. Interacting with the reporters, Jaipal Reddy said that he and three other ministers from Telangana region would attend the meeting on Monday.
