Shutdown call by TDS hits normal life in Telangana

Andhra Pradesh, May 29 (ANI): Chief minister-elect of India's new state, Telangana, which will come into existence on June 02, K Chandrasekhar Rao, called for a shutdown on Thursday (May 29) to protest the move of the central government to issue an ordinance related to the merger of a few villages of Khammam district into Andhra Pradesh. The city wore a deserted look as shops and business establishments remained closed at many places, including Hyderabad. Bus services from Hyderabad to various destinations in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh were also suspended. Activists of the regional TRS came out in droves in Bhadrachalam town and protested against the ordinance and termed it unconstitutional. May 29, 2014

Postal stamps on Narendra Modi issued in Bihar

Patna, May 29 (ANI): Department of Posts issued special stamps on Prime Minister Narendra Modi made by a philatelist in Bihar. The stamps and a special cover conceptualised by philatelist Pradeep Jain depicted Modi in four different poses and the special cover showed him emerging from a lotus. Jain said that he got the idea of 'My Stamp' during the inauguration of Barack Obama as United States President. It was a global event and stamps were released in Washington. The stamps and the cover were released on Modi's swearing-in ceremony on May 26. Impressed by his work, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs contacted him to get few of the stamps to send them to the neighbouring countries. May 29, 2014

They have to go to district headquarter rajouri for every work so they are demanding from the government to give tehsil status to their villages. Road connectivity is the mirror of development and shows the development of the particular area . The road between udhampur to pakhali is in worst condition and local of the said areas face many problems due to the worst condition of the pakhali road as a part of about 17 km of road from jakhani to pakhali are have path holes filled with dirty water . Dhaka, May 29 (ANI): Bangladesh people's resurgence platform, Gonojagoron Mancha, called for speedy trial of war criminals, accused of genocide during 1971 liberation war. The members of the platform held a round-table conference in Dhaka city to discuss about war crimes trials. More than 200 people were killed in violent street protests in Bangladesh, which broke out in February and continued throughout 2013. The protests began after the Awami League government decided to charge people with war crimes and other abuses during Bangladesh's liberation war in 1971 and put them on trial. Vadodara, May 29 (ANI): Around 150 Indian fishermen returned home in Vadodara city of Gujarat after they were released from Pakistan prison as a part of goodwill gesture ahead of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's visit to New Delhi for Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony. In a bid to bolster ties, Sharif had ordered release of fishermen, who were jailed in Pakistan for straying into their territorial waters. Surat, May 29 (ANI): A massive fire broke out in a high-rise building in Surat on Thursday morning. As per initial reports, the fire first broke out at Vipul Sarees' shop located on the fourth floor of the 17-story Orchid Tower and quickly spread to other floors.
