New Delhi, June 11 (ANI): Power distribution company in Delhi, Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL) has claimed to have met 100 percent electricity demands in its jurisdiction despite reports of prolonged power cuts in the city during scorching summer heat. TPDDL, which supplies power to nearly 30 percent of residents in north and northeast Delhi, said there was no load shedding. Earlier on Tuesday, Junior Power Minister Piyush Goyal blamed previous Congress party-led government in the city and said that dilapidated power grids could not cope with extra electricity needed to meet demand, leading to more power cuts. Local administration insensitive, say families of students swept away by river Beas

Mandi, June 11 (ANI): Family members of the students from Hyderabad swept away by gushing waters of river Beas in Himachal Pradesh have accused local administration of being insensitive; lacking a system in place after rescue officials recovered five bodies from the river. Rescuers had found five bodies till Tuesday and officials said prospects of finding the rest alive were bleak. The students were from a private engineering college in Hyderabad and had gone missing on June 08 after stopping to take photographs. The family members, who had arrived, claimed the bodies and with the help of the leaders from Andhra Pradesh flew them back.
