Muslim in certain areas unable to enjoy fruits of development: PM

New Delhi, Jan 13 (ANI): Inaugurating the annual conference of State Minorities Commissions on Monday Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, said that Muslims in certain parts of the country do not enjoy a fair share of development as compared to other communities that have done reasonably well. Focussing on the needs of the minority communities, the Prime Minister said that it is the responsibility of the state to take care of them. Taking a note of the institutions that deal with the minorities in the country, Singh said that National Commission for Minorities and State Minorities Commissions must continue to play a proactive role and strengthen the hands of the government by recommending suitable measures for improving the socio-economic condition of minorities. Moily says yet to get PM's comments over raising cap on cooking gas

Greater Noida, Jan 13 (ANI): Oil Minister, M. Veerappa Moily, said that he is yet to receive comments from Prime Minister Manmohan Singh or Congress Vice President, Rahul Gandhi, over increasing quota of subsidized cooking gas (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) cylinders from nine to 12 per household in a year.
