Mumbai, Jan 20 (ANI): Bollywood actor, Neil Nitin Mukesh was spotted walking the ramp at a children fashion show held in showbiz city, Mumbai. Speaking on the occasion Neil expressed his happiness on being a part of the show. Former beauty queen and Bollywood actress, Sarah Jane also walked the ramp as showstopper along with Mukesh. The event saw a range of kids wear, and clothing line being designed by designer, Nishka Lulla and showcased by small children. Bone chilling cold disrupts normal life in northern India

Kanpur/ Jammu, Jan 20 (ANI): Spell of intense cold wave continued to sweep large parts of northern India, paralysing normal life and disrupting rail traffic on Monday. People were seen sitting around bonfires on pavements to beat the cold. Dense fog engulfed many parts of the region, causing trouble for the daily commuters due to poor visibility and dozens of trains running behind schedule or cancelled. Will write to CMs again on minority detention issue: Shinde

Odisha, Jan 20 (ANI): Union Home Affairs Minister Sushilkumar Shinde said that he would soon send an advisory letter to the Chief Ministers of states asking them to form a committee to scrutinise cases of detention of 'minority people'. Shinde was addressing media persons on the sideline of the Ninth Raising Day of National Disaster Response Force in Odisha. Shinde said that he had earlier written a similar letter to the chief ministers of the states requesting them to look into the cases of various under trial 'minority prisoners' and release them if not found guilty. Indian Coast Guard progresses on Tamil fishermen issues

Chennai, Jan 20 (ANI): Inspector General of Indian Coast Guard, Satya Prakash Sharma briefed mediapersons regarding the issues of Tamil fishermen. Sharma said that though the Indian coast guard has arrested Sri Lankan fishermen for illegal fishing in Indian waters on several occasions, they are more often let off after serving their jail term or are exchanged in lieu of the Indian fishermen who are held captive by the Sri Lankan forces. Pak border trade suspended after contraband haul in Kashmir

Jammu and Kashmir, Jan 20 (ANI): India suspended border trade with Pakistan after police recovered a truck containing 114 packets of suspected brown sugar in Kashmir. The police recovered the packets from a truck said to be containing bags of almonds which was coming from Pakistan occupied Kashmir. Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of police, Baramulla range, Jaipal Singh addressed media persons and said the Pakistan authorities have refused to take back the trucks, which indicates that they had some knowledge of the contents of these bags. Sunanda Pushkar cremated at Lodhi Road Crematorium

New Delhi, Jan 18 (ANI): Union Minister Shashi Tharoor's wife Sunanda Pushkar Tharoor’s body has been cremated at Lodhi road crematorium on Saturday. Pushkar’s body was carried into the crematorium by her husband Shashi Tharoor and her son from her previous marriage Shiv Menon. Sunanda Pushkar was found dead late Friday in a suit at Leela Hotel in Delhi. Pushkar’s body was taken to AIIMS for autopsy after which doctors said that she had an unnatural & sudden death and that there were injury marks over her body. Jan 18, 2014
