PM Narendra Modi meets Chinese President ahead of BRICS summit

Brazil, July 15 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday met Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of BRICS summit in Fortaleza, Brazil and discussed various issues including border and trade. The leaders of the two countries discussed the crucial boundary issue and emphasised on the need of resolving the matter amicably. PM Modi tweeted, _Had a very fruitful meeting with Chinese President Mr Xi Jinping. We discussed a wide range of issues_. Meanwhile, the Chinese President invited Modi to attend APEC meeting later this year and called for an enhanced role of India in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). SC wants govt to revisit juvenile law

New Delhi, July 15 (ANI): After Union women and child development minister Maneka Gandhi, it is the Supreme Court that has called for a more stringent Juvenile Justice Act. Questioning the immunity enjoyed by the under-age offenders, SC has asked the government to re-visit the law and make necessary changes. Bangalore, July 15 (ANI): 2008 Bangalore serial blasts prime accused Abdul Nasser Madani was released from jail on Monday on health grounds. He was later taken to a private hospital in Whitefield, where he is likely to stay for a month under police security. Madani was, on July 11, granted one-month bail by the Supreme Court while taking note that he is an under-trial prisoner who was already behind the bars for the last four years and was suffering from various ailments, including diabetes and vision-threatening ailment in both eyes. Madani_s family along with his supporters and fans had come to receive him at Bangalore Central Jail. Reportedly, the accused, through his lawyer Prashant Bhushan, had said it will be difficult for him to undergo any surgeries while staying in jail.When asked how he felt after being granted bail, Madani thanked the god for court_s judgment.
