Passengers jubilant as Delhi-Katra 'Shri Shakti Express' returns to New Delhi after maiden journey

Katra, July 15 (ANI): The Delhi-Katra 'Shri Shakti Express' on Tuesday arrived at the New Delhi Railway Station after its maiden journey. The 'Shree Shakti Express' rail link to Katra that is at the foot of the popular Mata Vaishno Devi shrine, has eased travel for the devotees. Prime Minister Modi had flagged-off the inaugural train from Katra to Udhampur on July 04. Expressing happiness passengers said the train service was a great relief to the pilgrims heading towards the pilgrimage. According to the official data, nearly 10 million devotees pass through Katra every year on their way to the 13-kilometer-long holy trek. Katra, being the starting point of the trek to Mata Vaishno Devi shrine, is a highly revered destination for Hindus.
