New Delhi, May 27 (ANI): Newly sworn-in ministers of the new government vowed to work for the betterment of the country and said that they would work for the fulfillment of the promises made to the people during Lok Sabha elections. BJP leader Smriti Irani, who took oath as a cabinet minister thanked Modi and party Chief Rajnath Singh and said that she has got an opportunity to dedicate her life to serve the nation Ananth Kumar who took oath along with 44 other ministers, said that people expect good governance and it will be delivered. Lok Janshakti Party President Ram Vilas Paswan, who also bagged a cabinet berth, said the cabinet would fulfill the promises made to people. Indian fishermen released by Pakistan thank Modi for their homecoming

Amritsar, May 27 (ANI): Indian fishermen released by Pakistan arrived in Amritsar and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their homecoming. Pakistan freed Indian prisoners on May 25 as a goodwill gesture, a day ahead of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's visit to New Delhi to attend Modi's oath-taking ceremony. Fifty-nine Indian prisoners, who were freed from Malir jail of Karachi, celebrated the joy of homecoming. A released fisherman, Pappu, thanked Modi for extending an olive to nuclear rival Pakistan, which ensured their release from jails. Narendra Modi takes charge as Prime Minister of India

New Delhi, May 27 (ANI): A day after Narendra Modi took oath as the 15th prime minister of India, he took charge at the PMO. After taking oath with his compact cabinet of 45 ministers, that included 23 Cabinet ministers, 10 ministers of state with independent charge and 12 other ministers of state, started his inning at the PMO on Tuesday. Apart from from Modi, some other ministers of his Cabinet, like Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley also took charge of their respective offices.
