Delhi to Taj Mahal in 90 minutes, high speed train cracks trial run

Agra/ New Delhi, Sep 11 (ANI): Rail travellers will be able to reach the famed Taj Mahal's Agra city from New Delhi in just 90 minutes once commercial operations of the high speed train, which has successfully completed its second and the final trial run, starts in November. Railways on Thursday successfully conducted a trial run of a passenger train at a speed of 160 km per hour between Delhi and Agra, making it the country's fastest train. Neeraj Sharma, Chief Public Relation Officer (CPRO), Northern Railways said that this trial run was not for testing the speed but for time-tabling. The railways had decided to conduct three trials for the semi-high speed train but the second trial scheduled on August 22 was cancelled due to unavailability of resources. Therefore, the authorities decided to make the September 11 trial the final one.

EC orders FIR against Yogi Adityanath for 'inciting religious enmity'

Lucknow, Sep 11 (ANI): The Election Commission on Thursday ordered Uttar Pradesh Chief Election Officer to file an FIR against BJP MLA Yogi Adityanath for allegedly promoting religious enmity. Adityanath delivered a speech recently designed to incite communal tension, the Commission has found. Reprimanding the MP from Gorakhpur, the poll panel has also written to the controversial leader, warning him to be careful. Suspected ISI agent arrested by NIA, under judicial custody till 25th September

He was arrested yesterday in Chennai by NIA. Public Prosecutor CSS Pillai said that Selvaraj is taken under judicial custody till September 25th. The allegations on Selvaraj are assisting in routing terror financing, collecting vital info about defence among others. Thousands left homeless as landslide ravages Poonch in Kashmir

The landslide, attributed to heavy rains, has disconnected the area from the rest of the state and is posing a major threat to relief and rescue operations. Twelve infants die of respiratory problems in West Bengal
