War of words between BJP & Congress over LS, Congress says no one day without disruption

New Delhi, Feb 22 (ANI): As 15th session of Lok Sabha ended with many pending bills to be passed and government deciding to pass the anti-graft bill through ordinance, the opposition started on war of words over the issue blaming each other for Parliament disruptions. MoS for parliamentary affairs, Rajeev Shukla said that not one day went by when the opposition had not caused disruption at the lower house. Congress to pass anti-graft bill through ordinance, politicos draw contradictory reactions

Mumbai/ New Delhi/ Kolkata/ Lucknow, Feb 22 (ANI): After government decided to pass the Anti-Corruption Bills through an ordinance, political parties draw contradictory reactions over the same. Congress leader Satyavrat Chaturvedi said that opposing the bill reflected the hypocritical nature of the opposition which had earlier asked for a strong law against corruption. NCP leader Tariq Anwar said that there is no option left now when opposition never allowed the passage of bills in the Parliament. Odisha law minister Maheshwar Mohanty shot at in Puri, injured

Bhubaneswar, Feb 22 (ANI): Odisha's law, tourism and culture minister Maheshwar Mohanty, was injured when two unidentified men opened fire at him near his house in Puri. Mohanty, 59, was driving a scooty back home from a function when two miscreants, who were apparently following him on a two-wheeled vehicle, opened fire at him in a narrow lane near Amala Club in the heart of the town at around 8pm on Friday, sources said. The minister sustained a bullet injury on his left arm and suffered head injuries after he fell from the scooty on being fired at. United Airplanes' aircraft grounded at Mumbai airport sighting "major damage"

Mumbai, Feb 22 (ANI): A Boeing 777 aircraft of American carrier United Airlines (UA) was grounded at Mumbai airport Friday night after engineers found that its right engine cover was badly damaged, officials said. The aircraft, operating flight UA-48 from Newark to Mumbai, was grounded, terming the damage as "major", the sources said, adding it was being suspected that the damage may have been caused during take-off. Agra auto driver kills American wife, blows himself up

Agra, Feb 22 (ANI): An American social worker Erin White alias Kiran Sharma who fell for an Indian auto driver and married him in Agra, was viciously stabbed to death by her husband, who later blew himself up. The police also added that Bunty Sharma had met Willinger when she visited Agra in July last year. They got married in a court on October 11 and started living together in the Shaheed Nagar Colony of the city. However, soon differences surfaced in their relationship and eventually they separated.
