Bangalore: Several students fall ill after eating mid-day meal in govt School

Bangalore, Sep 19 (ANI): Several students of Urdu government primary school in DJ Halli area of Bangalore were admitted to a hospital on Friday after they consumed mid-day meal. The children complained of nausea and vomited soon after having the lunch.Talking to mediapersons, Karnataka Health Minister UT Khader said that there is no need to panic and students are being treated for food-poisoning. He also asked parents to keep calm as all the students are fine. He added that all medical expenses for the students’ treatment will be taken care of by the government. Sep 19, 2014

Kolkata, Sept 19 (ANI): Protesting students' union of Jadavpur University in Kolkata city will move court to seek justice for the alleged molestation of a victim in hostel. The protesters shut down the institution and demanded resignation of Vice Chancellor of the university over alleged molestation of other students during their protest. The victim student was molested by few male students who dragged her inside the boys’ hostel on August 28. Students further alleged that police authorities dragged out students and manhandled them. More than 30 students were arrested by the police while some of them were also injured.
