SC's direction to enroll defence personnel as general voters implemented: VS Sampath

Mumbai, Sep 30 (ANI): Chief Election Commissioner VS Sampath on Monday said that the Supreme Court's direction to enroll defence personnel as general voters is going to be implemented in the upcoming assembly elections in Haryana and Maharashtra. VS Sampath also appealed to the voters to check their names in the electoral roll and turn up in large numbers at the polling stations, so as to make the democracy purposeful.

Rajnath Singh, Uma Bharti participate in Gomti River cleanliness drive

Police arrest two with packets of heroin ready to be sold in metros

Khunti, Sept 30 (ANI): Acting on a tip off, police officials in Khunti district of Jharkhand arrested two drug smugglers with packets of heroin that was ready to be sold in metros.
