16th LS pays homage to Munde, House adjourned till Thursday

New Delhi, June 04 (ANI): The first session of the 16th Lok Sabha convened on a sad note on Wednesday, with a tribute to senior BJP leader and union rural development minister Gopinath Munde, who was killed in a car accident yesterday. The session got underway with protem speaker Kamal Nath paying tribute to Munde and asking for the house to observe two minutes of silence. Nath praised Munde's work and recounted his long and illustrious political career in Maharashtra, which culminated in his appointment as the minister for rural affairs. New Delhi, June 4 (ANI): Arrangements to evacuate all Indian nationals, mainly students, from violence-hit Ukrainian city of Lugansk to Kyiv have been made in cooperation with the Ukrainian government said MEA Spokesperson, Syed Akbaruddin. In Lugansk, at least two people were killed and several injured in an explosion which separatists controlling the eastern city said was the result of an air strike by the Ukrainian military. Kozhikode, June 4 (ANI): Police rescued over 500 children in a suspected child trafficking case in Kerala.The children were brought by train from Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal, said police. The matter came to light when a five member team of senior officers from Jharkhand confirmed that the orphanages did not have proper documents of each child and the statement provided by the care takers was not satisfactory.
