Chinese Foreign Minister's visit to India significant for Modi govt: Defence Expert

New Delhi, June 07 (ANI): As Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is all set to visit New Delhi on Sunday as a special envoy of President Xi Jinping to establish political contacts with PM Narendra Modi, Defence Expert Bharat Verma said that the visit is significant to the Modi government. Wang will hold talks with External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Modi himself during his two-day visit. Verma said that the tope priority for India will be to resolve boundary issues. New Delhi, June 07 (ANI): Reactions flow in as reports of rift within AAP surfaced, though party negated any such news. Congress leader JP Aggarwal said that AAP is not a party and that there is no structure of the party. BJP Vice President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that the way AAP campaigned against democracy, the party is facing the result of the same. Meanwhile, AAP leader Jarnail Singh refuted any such claims and said that things will get better soon. SP set to hire PR firm to build brand UP

New Delhi, June 07 (ANI): Samajwadi Party is all set to hire a PR firm to market its pro-people schemes. The move to build a brand UP, which has already received approval from the "top", is now up for state Cabinet ratification. Defence Minister Arun Jaitley visits Western Naval

Mumbai, June 07 (ANI): Defence Minister Arun Jaitley on Saturday visited Western Naval Command to review the operational preparedness. Jaitley may get to see the salvaged INS Sindhurakshak submarine during his visit, which had sunk on August 14 last year after an explosion. During his visit to the Western Command, Jaitley will also commission two fast-attack craft ICGS Achook and ICGS Agrim, of the Indian Coast Guard. This is Jaitley's maiden visit as Defence Minister. Politicians condemn abduction of Indian worker in Afghanistan, press for speedy release

Chennai, June 07 (ANI): Political fraternity condemned the abduction of an Indian aid worker in Afghanistan, and pressed the government to expedite action for his safe release. Cutting across party lines, the leaders from various political parties urged the government to speed up the process for the release of priest Alexis Prem Kumar, who was kidnapped in Herat province of Afghanistan, earlier this month. Leaders made personal appeal to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to talk tough with Afghanistan government and press for safe release of the abducted priest. Meanwhile, CPI leader D Raja said that the abduction was human rights violations and the central government should work towards the release of the priest at the earliest. Youth in Tripura make use of bamboo to be self-employed

Tripura, June 07 (ANI): A group of unemployed youth launched Bamboo Enterprises United (BENU), a handicraft workshop and community facility centre, in Katlamara village in 2004. The aim was to be self employed by utilising the locally available Kanakaich variety of bamboo. The village was once a hotbed for militants and lacked proper employment and business opportunities for the youth. These young entrepreneurs provided training to rural artisans to create various bamboo items, including furniture More than 100 people are currently engaged with the project and supply bamboo products in the country and abroad.
