New Delhi, May 21 (ANI): Congress and BJP supported Delhi court's decision to send AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal to 2-day judicial custody in the Nitin Gadkari defamation case. BJP leader Subramanian Swamy said that Kejriwal made a grievous charge against Gadkari which was totally false and later negated to give any bail bond which is required. Ajmer, May 21 (ANI): On the occasion of Anchor World Museum Day visitors, especially the youth, thronged to the ancient Ajmer Fort of Rajasthan to relive their ancient tradition and culture, in the two-day heritage exhibition. AAP gets agitated over Kejriwal taken in police custody

New Delhi, May 21 (ANI): AAP leaders on Wednesday reacted agitatedly over AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal taken into police custody in a defamation case filed by BJP leader Nitin Gadkari. Manish Sisodia said that Kejriwal has not done any crime by not filling a bail bond, thus targeting the 'good days' of governance under next PM Narendra Modi. Prashant Bhushan gave an insight into the matter saying that a bail bond was not filled even in the previous cases against Kejriwal so it was not even compulsory in this one. Also Sanjay Singh said that Kejriwal has not filled a bail bond in previous cases also and added that this case will be carried in higher courts. Meanwhile, Ashutosh stated that Kejriwal had only raised voice against corruption which is 'sarcastically' wrong according to law. Kejriwal sent to judicial custody in Gadkari defamation case

New Delhi, May 21 (ANI): Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday sent to two days judicial custody till May 23 after he refused to furnish a bail bond in connection with a defamation complaint filed against him by BJP leader Nitin Gadkari. A lawyer in the case confirmed the same and said that Kejriwal refused to file a bail bond which was asked from him by the court. Kejriwal will be taken to Tihar jail, not giving him any exception treatment. May 21, 2014

BSE closes points 78.86 down on May 21

New Delhi, May 21 (ANI): Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 78.86 points down to stand at 24,298.02. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 22.60 points down to stand at 7,252.90. Essar Oil and IFCI were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 14.30% and 13.09% along with Torrent Power and MMTC with an increase of 12.24% and 11.33% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include Hindustan Zinc and Adani Ports with a decrease of 4.16% and 3.96% along with Ultratech Cement Ltd. and Idea Cellular with a decrease of 3.58% and 3.36% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is up 71.31 points at 14,321.80 while the banking sector is down 184.51 points at 17,119.75 and the realty sector is up 34.13 points at 1,834.60. Naveen Patnaik takes oath as Odisha CM for fourth consecutive term

Four more suspects in Patna and Bodhgaya blast arrested: NIA

New Delhi, May 21 (ANI): The Director General of NIA, Sharad Kumar on Wednesday addressed media regarding the arrest of four more suspects in Patna and Bodhgaya blasts that took place last year. Kumar said that the four suspects had been arrested on Tuesday night after extreme hard work. He also said that all four were residents of Ranchi in Jharkhand and were being followed by the NIA team since long. Kumar added that all the suspects in Patna and Bodhgaya blast have been arrested till now. On being asked whether the aim of these suspects was Modi, Kumar said that the previously arrested suspects had admitted their target to be Narendra Modi whom due to heavy security they could not reach, thus tried to spread terror among people through serial blasts in Patna.
