New Delhi, July 17 (ANI): Political parties on Thursday continued targeting each other over the issue of government formation in Delhi. Former Income Tax Official Arvind Kejriwal was elected to lead the Delhi government last year but resigned after 49 days, accusing the BJP and Congress of blocking his legislative agenda. According to the newly-appointed Delhi unit BJP Chief, Satish Upadhyay, the party will consider government formation if invited by the Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 16.05 points up to stand at 7,640.45. Crompton Greaves and TTK Prestige were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 13.45% and 9.11% along with CRISIL and JPINFRATEC with an increase of 7.32% and 6.92% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include Mahindra and Mahindra and Cadila Health with a decrease of 3.18% and 2.67% along with Prestige Estates and Bajaj Auto with a decrease of 2.53% and 2.27% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is down 25.24 points at 15,716.27 while the banking sector is down 2.42 points at 17,477.50 and the realty sector is down 15.60 points at 1,998.91. New Delhi, July 17 (ANI): There was a massive scare on a Delhi Metro train on Thursday after doors of one of its coaches remained open while it moved between two stations on the Huda City Centre-Jehangirpuri line. According to passengers in the coach, the train coming from Gurgaon started moving even though the doors did not shut at Arjangarh station. The matter was brought to the notice of the driver following which the train was stopped at Ghitorni station for about 15 minutes as officials checked the coach. Encephalitis kills 25 in West Bengal

Siliguri, July 17 (ANI): Encephalitis syndrome looms large over West Bengal killing around 25 people while 70 others are undergoing treatment in the hospital. In the past few days, the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) near Siliguri under Darjeeling district has been flooded with patients complaining of Encephalitis symptoms. According to health department official at least 100 patients with suspected encephalitis were under treatment at different hospitals across north Bengal, especially in Darjeeling and Jalpaiguri districts. He added that the figure was increasing everyday. Father of an admitted patient, Nirmal Roy said that lots of people have died due to sudden outbreak of fever. Meanwhile, the hospital authorities denied commenting on the death cases. Encephalitis is an acute inflammation of the brain and can be due to both viral and bacterial infections. Japanese encephalitis, which is caused by the Japanese encephalitis virus, is more prevalent in the region than other forms of the illness. Parents protest against assault of minor girl in school in Bangalore

Bangalore, July 17 (ANI): Agitated parents protested in Vibgyor High School in Bangalore as a 6 year old girl was sexually assaulted in the school. The parents said the school _tried to cover up the matter_ and did not inform them about the incident, which took place on July 2. The Chairman of the school, Rustom Kerawala, assured that safety measures will be improved in school to keep all the students safe. He added that the school authorities are co-operating in investigation and confirmed that the suspected accused have been taken in police custody. However, the parents said they are not satisfied by the statements the school is giving. Meanwhile, Bangalore DCP TD Pawar said that the matter was reported quite late but he assured that action will be taken against the culprits. Reportedly, the girl was taken to a hospital after she expressed discomfort at home, which was when it was revealed that she was raped.
