RSS dubs Kashmir's Article 370 as 'temporary'

Pune, May 31 (ANI): Hindu radical outfit and ideological mentor of the BJP, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has said that Article 370, which provides special autonomous status to Jammu and Kashmir, is temporary which means it should go one day. A row had erupted after Junior minister in Prime Minister's Office (PMO), Jitendra Singh of the BJP stirred a controversy on May 27, after assuming charge, by saying that Article 370 was more of a psychological barrier than a physical one and added that the Narendra Modi-led government was open to debate with all stakeholders, including youths and that Article 370 of the Constitution was a hindrance to Kashmir's development. RSS leader Krishna Gopal who addressed a news conference in Pune said that the article holds a temporary status in the Indian Constitution. All five main accused arrested in Badaun gang-rape case

Uttar Pradesh/New Delhi, May 31 (ANI): Police on Saturday arrested the fifth accused in the gang-rape and murder of two teen sisters in Uttar Pradesh's Badaun district that had sparked enormous outrage among people. The girls, aged 14 and 15, were cousins and they went missing from their village on May 27 evening. The following morning, villagers found the bodies of the two teenagers hanging from a mango tree in a nearby orchard. The post-mortem report confirmed that both girls were raped and died due to hanging. Police arrest 2 accused in gang-rape of teen girls in Badaun

Badaun, May 30 (ANI): Police on Friday arrested two of the suspects who allegedly gang-raped two teenage girls and hanged them from a tree in Uttar Pradesh. The two cousins, aged 14 and 15, who were from a low-caste Dalit community, went missing from their village home in Uttar Pradesh's Badaun district when they went out to go to the toilet on Tuesday evening. The following morning, villagers found the bodies of the two teenagers hanging from a mango tree in a nearby orchard. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Badaun, Atul Saxena, said two of the suspects have been arrested and the hunt for the third one is still on.
