Shiv Sena MP clarifies Maharashtra Sadan incident

New Delhi, July 23 (ANI): Shiv Sena MP Rajan Vichare clarified the controversial incident that took place in Maharashtra Sadan on Wednesday morning. Vichare said that the leaders were unaware that the waiter was a Muslim and they just wanted him to know that the food was not edible. He added that the issue should not be raised from a communal angle because there was no such intention behind the act. He further stated that the facilities in Mahrashtra Sadan are not up to the mark and a complaint has been filed in Police Station in this regard. Jul 23, 2014

House adjourned after ruckus over Maharashtra Sadan incident

New Delhi, July 23 (ANI): The lower house of the Parliament was adjourned after a ruckus was created over the incident that took place in Maharashtra Sadan where a Muslim was force-fed by Shiv Sena MPs reportedly. Congress leader Shashi Tharoor said that the incident was unfortunate and added that a BJP member in the Parliament came into the well and created a ruckus due to which the house had to be adjourned. Meanwhile, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu said that no body knows what happened in Maharashtra Sadan and Shiv Sena has already clarified that no such incident has taken place. Bangalore rape case: Police arrests chairman of Vibgyor School

Bangalore, July 23 (ANI): Bangalore Police arrested the chairman of the privately-run Vibgyor School where a minor girl was sexually assaulted. According to reports, the chairman, Rustom Kerawalla, of Vibgyor School was arrested after it was found that there was delay on his part in reporting the crime to the police. It is also alleged that he concealed information related to the case from the police. It is also alleged that the Kerawalla tried to destroy evidence relating to the incident. He has been charged under section 201 of the Indian Penal Code, section 23 of the Juvenile Justice Act and section 21 Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. Jul 23, 2014

One killed and three injured in IED explosion in Goalpara

Goalpara, July 23 (ANI): One person was killed and three others were injured in a blast triggered by suspected militants in Goalpara district of Assam on Wednesday morning. Ahmedabad car mishap: Two killed, five injured; minor driver detained

Ahmedabad, July 23 (ANI): Two persons were killed and atleast five injured in Ahmedabad on Wednesday when a car allegedly being driven by a 14-year-old ran over a family sleeping on a pavement. The boy has been detained and is being questioned. The incident took place at around 2:30 am early Wednesday when the driver of the car lost control and it rammed into a hut. Railway Minister assures more safety measures after Maoists blow up railway track in Bihar
