Four mining officials abducted in Jharkhand, says a senior official

Ranchi, Dec 5 (ANI): Four mining officials were abducted in Jharkhand, said a senior official on Friday. According to the media reports, the deputy directors of the mines department Bipin Bihari Satiyar, Saket Bharti, stenographer Mahanti Toppo and driver Nitai Chandra were kidnapped by Maoists in West Singhbhum district. Though, their whereabouts is unknown still. Distraught family of abductees urged the kidnappers to release them soon. 6 militants killed, Home Minister says Pak should try to stop attacks

Rajouri/ Soura, Dec 05 (ANI): Six militants were killed in the gun battle that lasted for several hours in Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. The militants cut through a wire fence around the small artillery camp and then fired rocket-propelled grenades at the security force men in their bunkers. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said that Pakistan should try to stop militant attacks or ask for help from India if it is unable to do so. Gaya, Dec 05 (ANI): Nearly 149 bonded labourers, including women and children, rescued from a brick kiln in Uttar Pradesh, were brought to their home district in Bihar. Police rescued them from a brick kiln in Mirzapur district and were brought to Gaya district by the Bihar government. They would be sent to their native villages. The government assured that action would be taken against those involved in the crime. JP Nadda seeks report over blinding of 16 people in Punjab eye camp

New Delhi/Amritsar, Dec 5 (ANI): Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda on Friday sought report from Punjab government over the blinding of 16 people in an eye camp. As many as 16 patients lost their eyesight after a doctor used suspected infected equipment at a free eye surgery camp, organised by a NGO in Gurdaspur district. Nadda assured Punjab government to render any help from the central government. Reacting over the incident, state Medical Education Minister Anil Joshi said that organisers had no permission to conduct an eye camp.
