New Delhi, Aug 16 (ANI): Indian political leaders have condemned the Congress's poll debacle review report submitted by the A K Antony panel to the Congress president Sonia Gandhi. The AK Antony panel submitted review report of its poll debacle to party chief, Sonia Gandhi, following its worst ever defeat in the general elections. The much talked about report was submitted on Thursday (August 14) by former defence minister, AK Antony and his team after a meeting with 500 Congress members, including members of its various wings. Relief operations stepped up in flood-affected districts in Odisha

Assamese teenager makes her mark in a Hollywood film

Assam, Aug 16 (ANI): Directed by Oscar winning director Jeffery D Brown, the film 'Sold' has received widespread critical acclaim since it opened at the 5th London Indian Film Festival and won an Audience award. The actor in lead role is Niyar Saikia, a girl hailing from Assam. She has played the role of the main protagonist, Lakshmi, a Nepali girl who becomes a victim of human trafficking. Niyar was selected from among 1,000 girls in Nepal and India who had auditioned for the role and had to participate in a workshop to prepare for the role. The 13-year old actor has been gaining appreciation for her sensitive portrayal of a child trafficking victim in the film. A student of class 9, Niyar has been acting since she was a kid and is currently a drama student at the SEAGULL drama institute. 3 houses collapse due to landslide in Dehradun, 7 Dead

Dehradun, Aug 16 (ANI): Three houses collapsed due to landslide after heavy rainfall in Dehradun on Saturday and the members living in them got stuck under the debris.
