Ajit Seth holds meeting with Crisis Management Committee of AP and Odisha, assures all possible help

New Delhi, Oct 12 (ANI): Cabinet Secretary of India Ajit Seth on Sunday held a meeting with Crisis Management Committee of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha to discuss the current situation in the states. He said that Indian government and the prime minister is in constant touch with the states over the cyclone Hudhud and are providing with all possible help from the Centre. He said that the focus is on the affected population that they should be alert even after the cyclone. Further, Seth also said that other states like Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand will also be affected though the intensity of the cyclone will be reduced by 0 per cent in next 6 hours. Indian army conducts mock drill in Poonch in wake of Pakistan firing

Poonch, Oct 12 (ANI): Indian army conducted mock drill in Poonch sector in Jammu and Kashmir to avoid any casualty during ceasefire violation by Pakistan. India and Pakistan exchanged gunfire across the Kashmir frontier on Saturday. Pakistani troops heavily shelled 15 border out posts and hamlets along the International Border overnight, leaving three persons injured, one of them seriously in Jammu district. After nine days of attacking each other with mortars and heavy machine guns, the two armies abruptly stopped fighting on Thursday night (October 09), although their governments kept up the war of words blaming the other of launching unprovoked fire. Poonch has reported 10 injuries and a death during the cross-border firing. India celebrates World Space Week to mark the success of Mars mission

Kozhikode, Oct 12 (ANI): India celebrated World Space Week in Kozhikode district of Kerala to mark the success of its Mars mission, where many enthusiast school and college students attended the space exhibition organized by the Regional Science Centre and Planetarium. India's first mission to Mars had entered orbit on September 24, making it the first Asian nation to reach the Red Planet. The spacecraft, called Mangalyaan, was launched in November last year by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The World Space Week started on October 04 and concluded on October 10.
