Bengaluru Blast: Police announces reward for informers

Bengaluru, Dec 29 (ANI): Bengaluru Police on Monday announced a reward of Rupees 10 lakh to anybody who gives substantial information helpful in investigation of the blast. Reddi also said that investigating teams from Chennai as well as National Investigation Agency are working in coordination with the Bengaluru Police. He then confirmed that some ex-SIMI activists have escaped from Khandwa jail and the police are looking at whether they are involved in this particular incident. Dec 29, 2014

Finance Minister Jaitley rejects Raghuram Rajan's criticism of 'Make in India'

New Delhi, Dec 29 (ANI): Rejecting Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Raghuram Rajan's criticism on 'Make in India' programme, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Monday said that it is about manufacturing of quality products at low cost, whether they are sold in India or abroad. The minister in his inaugural address of a national workshop on 'Make in India' further said manufacturing remains a challenge for country's economy and cost of capital has been the major factor behind slowed down manufacturing. Emphasizing on manufacturing of quality products at low costs, Jaitley said it was not relevant whether they are sold in India or abroad. Chalking out the ways to open up the roads for manufacturers, Jaitley said the entry point into manufacturing sector needs to be eased and that if we keep doors closed, investments won't come in. There should be an ease of doing business in India. Earlier this month, RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan had criticised 'Make in India' campaign, saying it assumes an export-led growth path of China and it should rather be 'Make for India' with a focus on manufacturing products for the domestic market. Bengaluru Blast: Rajnath says Centre ready to help state, calls for installation of CCTV cameras

New Delhi, Dec 29 (ANI): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh condemned the low intensity blast that took place in Bengaluru last night. Singh asked state authorities to install closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras in the entire city in the wake of the blast. Singh held a high level meeting with top officials of intelligence agencies to review security measures following the low intensity explosion in the high-tech capital. Experts react over Lakhvi's detention suspended by Pak Court

New Delhi, Dec 29 (ANI): Security Experts on Monday reacted over suspension of Zaki ur Rehman Lakhvi's detention by Islamabad Court. Alok Bansal said that Pakistan has failed to show that it is against terror. Praful Bakshi said that it was a ruling given by the Court so it cannot be questioned but added that the Indian government needs to take all precautionary measures in context of terror activities. SR Sinho said that Pakistan will suffer greatly due to its increasing support to militant groups as the country will not be able to handle them within its boundaries. Dec 29, 2014

Islamabad Court suspends Lakhvi's detention, Politicos question Pak's fight against terror

New Delhi, Dec 29 (ANI): Islamabad Court has suspended the detention of 26/11 Mumbai attacks accused Zaki ur Rehman Lakhvi, reportedly granting him bail. This has invited political reactions questioning the aim of Pakistan to fight against terror. BJP leaders Sambit Patra and GVL Narasimha Rao said that even after the recent Peshawar attack Pak government has not learnt a lesson. JD (U) Chief Sharad Yadav said that Pakistan cannot carry out any proceedings against the terrorists as it is always under the pressure of militant outfits. Police obtains suspected material from blast site in Bengaluru

Bengaluru/ New Delhi/ Mumbai/ Pune, Dec 29 (ANI): Police on Monday while carrying out a search operation obtained a suspected material from the blast site in Bengaluru. The low intensity IED (Improvised Explosive Device) bomb had exploded on Church Street in Bengaluru killing one and leaving three injured.The blast had occurred around 8:30 pm outside Coconut Grove restaurant on Church Street. Civil Defence Commandant PR Chetan said that Bomb Squad is assisting the city police in every possible way.The victims were walking past the restaurant when the bomb went off.Meanwhile, red alert sounded in Pune, Mumbai and the national capital following the blast in Bengaluru. Ahmedabad cinema threatres showing PK vandalized

Ahmedabad, Dec 29 (ANI): Around 40 people, allegedly belonging to the Bajrang Dal, vandalized two multiplexes in Ahmedabad, demanding that the screening of PK be stopped. The movie has smashed several box-office records. However, few outfits are demanding its ban, alleging that it hurts religious sentiments. Bengaluru Blast: Experts say agencies should be careful in naming accused

New Delhi, Dec 29 (ANI): Security and Defence experts on Monday reacted to Bengaluru blast that took place last night killing one and injuring at least 3. Defence Expert Commodore (Retd) Ranjit B Rai said that the minorities have always been under suspicionwhenever any such incident takes place but added that the investigation agencies should be careful in disclosing the name of the accused. Security Expert Qamar Agha said that it might be an act executed by the Indian Mujahideen because they have always targeted business hubs and metro cities. Reactions flow after TTP accuses Pak army of using youth for 'blood game', calls soldiers to join th

New Delhi, Dec 29 (ANI): Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan has released a video accusing Pakistan army of using youth for 'blood game' during war of Liberation in 1971 and also various proxy wars against Kashmir. TTP has also asked the Pak army officials to join them in a war against the Pak army which has always attacked Mujahideens. The video purportedly of its senior Commander Adnan Rashid, a former Pakistan Air Force official who was involved in an attack on ex-dictator Gen Pervez Musharraf, calls upon the soldiers of Pakistani Army to join the TTP listing the atrocities committed by the force including "killing of millions" and "raping of own sisters" during the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. Defence Expert Commodore (Retd) Ranjit B Rai said that Pakistan is not in a condition to bear another attack by TTP.
