Pro ISIS twitter account handler detained in Bengaluru, Politicos react

New Delhi, Dec 13 (ANI): Political leaders on Saturday welcomed the detention of Pro ISIS twitter account handler in Bengaluru. Bengaluru police have detained the handler of the pro ISIS twitter handle at ShamiWitness on Friday night. However, the top police officials declined to confirm whether he was arrested and under which sections was a case made out against him. Samajwadi Party leader Naresh Agrawal said that its good that the person in question is arrested but the intelligence agencies should remain more alert on such issues. Congress leader Manish Tewari questioned on the delay in the arrest of the twitter handler. NCP leader Majid Memon also welcomed the arrest. Dec 13, 2014

Politicos condemn death of Indian fisherman in Pak jail

New Delhi, Dec 13 (ANI): Political leaders on Saturday condemned the death of an Indian fisherman in Pakistan jail. The 30 year old Indian fisherman, Devo Mand Kansaro has been found dead under mysterious circumstances in a jail in Karachi. Kansaro was arrested in March by Pakistan's Maritime Security Agency for fishing in the Arabian sea. Jail authorities claimed that Kansaro had died from natural causes after complaining chest pain. Political leaders demanded stern action against Pakistan by the Indian government. However, they ruled out any relation of the incident with the Parliamentary dialogue of the MPs of both nations gone wrong on Friday. Dec 13, 2014

Rajasthan govt completes one year under Vasundhara Raje

Jaipur, Dec 13 (ANI): It's been a year for Vasundhara Raje government in Rajasthan and the state has continued to go along with its promise of ‘minimum government and maximum governance'. Rajasthan, literally, "Land of Kings" or "Land of Kingdoms", is India's largest state by area. The state conjures up images of a land of forts and palaces, colours and flavours, architectures and wildscapes and is known for its hospitality and touristic attractions. Raje took over as chief minister of Rajasthan on December 13th, 2013, succeeding Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. Sarpanch kidnapped and killed in Sopore district

Sopore, Dec 13 (ANI): In yet another gruesome killing of a Sarpanch in Kashmir, the sarpanch belonging to National Conference from Sopore area of Baramulla district was kidnapped and murdered by suspected terrorists on Saturday. According to the reports, unidentified gunmen on Friday evening allegedly kidnapped 62 year old Ghulam Mohammad from his residence in Tarzoo area of Sopore town. Sarpanch's family had lodged a complaint with the police following which a search operation was launched to rescue the kidnapped sarpanch. Police found his body on Saturday morning. Sarpanch's daughter said that at least four masked men had jumped over the compound wall of the house and forced the sarpanch out. State working for all round development, making women heads of family: Vasundhara Raje

Jaipur, Dec 13 (ANI): As Vasundhara Raje government completes one years of governance in Rajasthan, the chief minister said that the state is working for all round development and are bringing in reforms to make women the heads of the family. Raje said that the year has been a disturbing one and the government could function only for 151 days out of total 365 days as holidays, model code of conduct, and elections have taken up rest of the time. One of the major achievements that Raje is looking up to is the Bhamashah reform which would roll out on 15th. Bhamashah scheme is a card that comes with a bank account number in the name of the female head of the family. Her biometrics details are recorded and only she can withdraw money. Among others, the chief minister also said that the government is working to bring the financial sector back on track and bring employment to youth so that Rajasthan is counted one amongst the developed states in India. Muslims in Lucknow protest against mass religious conversion

Lucknow/New Delhi, Dec 13 (ANI): Muslims in Uttar Pradesh staged a protest against alleged forced religious conversion of minority community by hardline Hindu groups. Protesters shouted slogans, held placards and appealed the government to form a committee to probe the matter. Police have announced a cash reward for the arrest of Kishori Lal Balmiki, main accused in the forced conversion. India's 1.2 billion people are predominantly Hindus. Maoists torch vehicles at mining belt in Jharkhand

Lohardaga, Dec 13 (ANI): The red rebels burnt trucks and heavy vehicles used for mining in Jharkhand, hindering the mining work in the area. The mining, dispatch and transportation of bauxite from the mines in the Maoist hit Kisko police station area of Lohardaga district came to a grinding halt after a group of rebels torched more than 20 vehicles. A truck owner, Pradip Sahu said there are around 300 labourers employed and their livelihood has been affected by the incident. He said Maoists have torched bauxite laded trucks before also. The Maoists from Bharatiya Communist Party (BCP) came late at night, attacked the labour working and torched the vehicles, obstructing the excavation work of bauxite. They burnt at least 20 trucks, two earth movers, a compressor machine and a tractor employed for the mining work. The rebels also left pamphlets behind in which they owned up for the incident. First naval establishment in Visakhapatnam 'INS Circars' celebrates platinum jubilee

Visakhapatnam, Dec 13 (ANI): The first naval establishment in Visakhapatnam, INS Circars, marked its platinum jubilee. Visakhapatnam, in Andhra Pradesh was identified by the British as an important convoy assembly point for military operation in 1923. Commanding Officer, INS Circars, Saleem Anwer said a small naval base commissioned in 1939 by the British is celebrating its 75th year of establishment. The establishment became HMIS Circars on April 12, 1942 and post independence the establishment was renamed to INS Circars. Anwer added that the base also extended support in terms of relief and rehabilitation when Visakhapatnam was hit by cyclone Hudhud in October.
