New Delhi, Sept 19 (ANI): Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas have reportedly reconciled after breaking up earlier in April. A source told a US magazine that the couple, who had dated for two years before parting ways, that the royal had spent 16th and 17th September nights with the 25-year-old socialite, and were back together, at least at present. Prince William’s younger brother was first spotted with Bonas at London’s Odeon Cinema where they had reportedly attended screening of ‘Sex Tape,’ and the next night had danced together at Harry’s 30th birthday party at Clarence House. I&B Minister launches free AIR SMS service in different languages

New Delhi, Sep 19 (ANI): I&B Minister Prakash Javadekar on Friday launched the All India Radio’s free SMS service which will provide news in Hindi, Marathi, Sanskrit, Dogri and Nepali. During the launch of the service, Javadekar said that the SMS service will provide news to the people on their mobile phones. On the occasion, AIR Director General News Mohan Chandak said that efforts are being made to expand the SMS service in the regional languages of the various states. Javadekar also asked AIR to run a campaign through the newspapers and the Doordarshan news channel for creating awareness about the SMS service among the people. Sep 19, 2014

India hails Indian American Richard Verma's nomination as new US envoy to India

New Delhi, Sept 19 (ANI): India, on Friday welcomed move by US President Barack Obama as he nominated former State Department official Richard Verma as US ambassador to India, just ahead of a visit to Washington by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Verma, an Indian-American, served as assistant secretary of state for legislative affairs at the State Department in the Obama administration from 2009 to 2011. He is currently a senior counselor at Steptoe and Johnson law firm and the Albright Stonebridge Group, a business advisory company, led by former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. NCP leader Majid Memon, hoped that the new envoy would take Indian interests into consideration. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 6.70 points up to stand at 8,121.45. CRISIL and Bajaj Finance Limited were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 7.11% and 5.66% along with CONCOR and MUTHOOT FINANCE LTD. with an increase of 5.08% and 4.48% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include SUZLON and JINDAL STEEL and POWER LTD. with a decrease of 9.33% and 4.66% along with SHRIRAM CITY UNION FINANCE LTD. and JAIPRAKASH ASSOCIATES LTD. with a decrease of 4.50% and 4.40% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is down 106.56 points at 18,114.93 while the banking sector is down 9.56 points at 18,479.21and the reality sector is down 19.56 points at 1,769.05. Health Minister praises Kerala CM for reducing liquor availability

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 19 (ANI): Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan praised Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Friday (September 19) for state government's decision to drastically reduce availability of liquor. Supreme Court of India on September 11 had asked the State government of Kerala to maintain status quo over banning liquor in the state. Tibetans stage protest against Chinese President Xi Jinping outside Hotel Taj Palace in Delhi

New Delhi, Sep 19 (ANI): Scores of Tibetans staged a protest Friday morning outside Hotel Taj Palace where Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife are staying. Protesters carrying placards that read "Freedom is my birth right", "Freedom of Tibet, Security of India" raised anti-China slogans. They shouted slogans like "We want freedom" as police tried to cordon them off from the area.
