Police detain youth for wearing t-shirt with ISIS logo

Dhanbad, Nov 06 (ANI): Police in Jharkhand detained a youth after his photos wearing a t-shirt with ISIS written on it emerged in a local daily. The boy was wearing a t-shirt that read 'ISIS Pakistan' during Ashoura procession on Tuesday (November 04) in Dhanbad city. As per media reports, the police have also detained the man who printed the t-shirt and relative who gave it to him. The boy claimed that he was preparing for a skit displaying resistance against the Islamic State and Pakistan. Officer in-charge of Dhanbad's Jharia police station, Vishnu Rajak, said they were investigating terror links in this matter. Last month, flags and banners of ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) made their debut in Kashmir valley, weeks after al-Qaeda announced the formation of an Indian branch, aiming to rouse the world's third largest Muslim population into action. Earlier, former chief minister Sheila Dikshit had said that Sikhs in Delhi had supported the Congress despite the leaders being accused of involvement in the 1984 riots and therefore they should be given a second chance. New Delhi, Nov 06 (ANI): Political leaders on Thursday react as Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that Shiv Sena can join the state government only after signing the trust vote. BJP's Sambit Patra said that the party is committed to work for welfare of the state and any proceedings are directed in the same route. Congress leader Rashid Alvi said that the fight in Maharashtra is not for ideology or anything but for seat and power. Fadnavis had said that cabinet expansion will take place only after his government proves its majority on the floor of the assembly. Police arrest three for smuggling tortoise

Aurangabad, Nov 06 (ANI): Police in Aurangabad district of Maharashtra arrested three people for smuggling a golden tortoise. Acting on a tip off, police officials disguised as customers visited the hotel where five smugglers were waiting to sell the rare specie, which is worth at least four billion dollars in Indian market. The three smugglers have been identified as Ganesh Pawar (50), Ramesh Pawar (24) and Shaikh Najib (22). The main accused has been identified as Amol Salve. After the investigation, the police handed over the tortoise to the forest department. Nov 6, 2014

Reactions come in as Delhi HC slams MCD for running 'Dirty India Campaign'

New Delhi/ Kaushambi, Nov 06 (ANI): Reactions come from political leaders after Delhi High Court slammed Municipal Corporation of Delhi for unhygienic conditions in the national capital and made an observation that it was running a 'Ganda Bharat Abhiyan' or 'Dirty India Campaign'. While BJP said that government is committed to its 'Swachch Bharat Abhiyan’, Congress and AAP alleged that the ruling BJP is only doing a show off and the MCD under them has failed to perform on the ground. CPI leader D Raja also said that now that the HC has slammed the MCD, it needs to give a report on the same. Russian President Vladimir Putin has piped his US counterpart Barack Obama for a second year in a row and is at the top. The list of 72 most powerful people in the world also includes Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani at the 36th position, Arcelor Mittal Chairman and CEO Lakshmi Mittal at 57th and Microsoft's Indian-born CEO Satya Nadella at 64th position. Conference in Dharamsala stresses on science education for monks

Dharamsala, Nov 6 (ANI): A Buddhist scholar stressed on importance of modern education, primarily science, for monks and nuns along with traditional study, while addressing a conference in hill town of Dharamsala. Goa CM declines any talks on cabinet berth with PM Modi

New Delhi, Nov 6 (ANI): Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the latter's official 7, Race Course Residence (RCR) on Wednesday evening amid speculation that he may be given a Cabinet berth at the Centre. Parrikar, however, after the meeting denied having any talks on the cabinet berth with PM Modi. He said that he had discussion over issues concerning his state and as of now he remains the Chief Minister of Goa. Parriker earlier in the day met Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah. Jitan Ram Manjhis son-in-law clarifies resignation as PA after controversy arose

Patna, Nov 06 (ANI): The son-in-law of Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, Devendra Manjhi gave his resignation as the PA of Chief Minister after it ignited controversy. Devendra Manjhi said that he had been working under the Chief Minister for many years and earlier nobody raised the issue, but now seeking other benefits from the controversy some opposition parties have made it controversial. He also said that the definition of a relative is not clear under law and it does state clearly as to which relatives can and which cannot become Chief Minister’s PA. He further said that he had given his resignation after having discussion with the Bihar Chief Minister.
