New Delhi/Ahmedabad, Nov 10 (ANI): Political leaders on Monday welcomed mandatory voting bill in Gujarat. State Governor OP Kohli recently signed the controversial Gujarat Local Authorities Laws Bill, 2009, which has the provisions of compulsory voting and 50 per cent reservation for women in the institutions of local self-governance. While BJP, NCP along with BJD and Congress welcomed the same and said that they will wait to see on the repercussions of the same and how it is accepted in India, Gujarat PCC Chief Arjun Modhwadia stood against the same. Modhwadia said that the bill will ultimately become a reason to apply force on citizens for the BJP government.
