Mumbai/ New Delhi, Mar 20 (ANI): Political leaders and social activists on Thursday welcomed the court’s verdict in the Shakti Mill photojournalist gangrape case of August 22, 2013. A sessions court in Mumbai has convicted all the four accused in the Shakti Mill photojournalist gangrape case. The court has also convicted the four accused in another gangrape case of a telephone operator. The 23-year-old photojournalist was assaulted while she was on task at the abandoned factory. Another accused, who is a minor is tried in the juvenile court. A 362-page charge sheet was registered against four of the denounced in October. The guilty, all unemployed adolescent men inhabited a close-by slum. Maharashtra Home Minister RR Patil on Thursday welcomed the verdict as much needed to desist rogue elements from committing heinous acts like rape in a city like Mumbai or elsewhere.
