Chaibasa, Dec 06 (ANI): Police rescued four mining officials, who were abducted by Maoists in Jharkhand, said a senior official. Deputy Directors of mines department, Bipin Bihari Satiyar, Saket Bharti, stenographer Mahanti Toppo and driver Nitai Chandra were kidnapped by Maoists in west Singhbhum district. Superintendent of Police, Narendra Kumar Singh said the abductees were found in forest, as rebels ran away due to police's fear. Maoists, also known as Naxals, have killed police and politicians, and targeted government buildings and railway tracks in an insurgency that has killed thousands since 1960s.
