Amritsar, April 27 (ANI): Police in Punjab achieved a major success in its drive against cross-border smuggling of narcotics. Amritsar branch of State Special Operation Cell, a unit of Counter Intelligence wing of Punjab Police, arrested three smugglers along with possession of drugs. The smugglers were identified as Jagjit Singh, Davinder Singh, Kuldip Singh and Harbinder Singh. Further investigation revealed that the smugglers have been indulging in cross-border smuggling and had recently procured two consignments of heroin from Pakistan, which they had disposed off as per the directions from Pakistani smugglers. It was further revealed that the seized consignment was the third in past one month and the recovered pistol was part of the same.
