Purulia, Oct 12 (ANI): In the backdrop of recent blast, Police detained a vehicle carrying explosives in Purulia district of West Bengal. This vehicle, a Tata Sumo, was going towards Barabazar from Boro area. Police recovered 1100 detonators and 2800 gelatine sticks from this car. Two men, identified as SK Sahabul and Rakesh Mudi have been arrested in this case. Reportedly, these men were going to deliver the explosives found in the car to a third person, Chandan Singh of Barabazar area. Purulia police is interrogating to find out if these huge quantities of explosives were being carried in connection to any Maoist or terrorist activity. This incident comes close on the heels of an explosion in Burdwan district of West Bengal that left two suspected militants dead on October 05.
