PM participates in bicentenary celebrations of first Indian museum

Kolkata, Feb 2 (ANI): Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Sunday participated in bicentenary celebrations of the first museum in the country. West Bengal Governor MK Narayanan, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, and others were present during the event. India’s first museum was established by British rulers in Kolkata in 1814 to showcase arts, artefacts and culture.
