Aamir Khan's "PK" has reportedly collected over ₹18 crore at the Pakistan box office in three weeks and is fast heading to shatter the business records of "Waar" and "Dhoom 3" in the country.

Hassaan Rizvi,  Marketing Manager at Distributor Club (PVT) Ltd, confirmed the news about the film's box office collections in Pakistan. He feels that a strong message and Aamir-Rajkumar's association are main reasons for the film's huge success in the country.

"PK has made over ₹18 crore in Pakistan and continues to attract movie-goers. It will be in cinemas until the end of January so I'm sure it will make a lot more," Dawn quoted Hassaan Rizvi as saying.

"The movie thrives because it entails a strong message, and of course because of Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Hirani," he added.

Action thriller Urdu movie "Waar", directed by Bilal Lashari, is the highest-grossing Pakistani film of all time. Waar raked in ₹22 crore at the Pakistan box office (statistics provided by Saad Baig of Footprint (Pvt) Ltd). Now, PK is inching close to beat that record.

"By Jan 6, "PK" had made almost ₹15 crore and has managed to cross ₹18 crore in a matter of four days. It is likely that the movie will keep the momentum going and Aamir Khan's depiction of a quirky alien addressing deep rooted social issues will keep the house full," predicted Anum Rehman Chagani of Dawn.

Dawn report suggest that Aamir Khan's previous release "Dhoom 3" collected over ₹24.5 crore at the Pakistan box office. His latest outing "PK" is expected to smash this record as well and set a new bench mark in the country.

"PK" has minted over ₹620 crore at the worldwide box office in 23 days. It has become the highest Bollywood grosser in India, North America, Australia and New Zealand. It is likely to emerge as the highest grossing Hindi film at the UK box office in its fourth weekend.
