Amitabh Bachchan-starrer "Pink" is likely to witness a great opening at the Indian as well as overseas box office on Friday, Sept. 16. The movie, also starring Tapsee Pannu, is expected to beat the opening day Indian box office collection record of Big B's "Wazir," which also starred Farhan Akhtar.

The trailer and posters of "Pink" have been creating a huge buzz. Also, several Bollywood celebrities have been lauding senior Bachchan as well as the other actors' performances, claiming it to be a must watch for all generations.

While "Wazir" had collected Rs. 5.57 crore in the domestic market on its first day, going by the hype around "Pink," it seems to have the potential to outdo the opening day box office collection of "Wazir."

To be released in over 1,300 screens, "Pink" is expected to get a 15-20% occupancy on its opening day. The film is likely to collect a little over Rs. 6 crore on its opening day.

Directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury and produced by Soojit Sircar, "Pink" is a courtroom drama-thriller and is the story of three independent girls who get into trouble during a party. Senior Bachchan plays the role of a lawyer, while others who play the key role in the film are Tapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Andrea Tariang, Piyush Mishra, Angad Bedi and Dhritiman Chatterjee.

While Big B's performance has always been brilliant, the script, suspense and the flawless performances by the actresses, are expected to keep the audience enthralled. The positive word of mouth is expected to help draw the audience to the theatres in the evening shows as well.
