CES or Consumer Electronics Show, that happens every year in Las Vegas, United States, is considered as the Mecca of showcasing consumer electronics products.

Thousands of original equipment manufacturers and software developers take part in the show to launch and showcase their innovative products. From 1967, every tech journalists and experts await for the show.

The next CES will be held from 6 January to 9 January 2014. The CEA (Consumer Electronics Association) committee, the entrepreneur of this show has also launched an innovation movement. Consisting more than 2,00,000 members, they encourage economic growth and technological innovation by honouring few technological products every year, and declares the winners months before the show.

With a cult panel of judges, they follow a rigorous schedule to ensure that the product has exceptional features, which will grow the consumer electronics economy in future.

Unveiled on 25 March this year, HTC One M8 is considered as the second generation of HTC One smartphone. With a premium quality metal unibody design, the smartphone incorporates a 5-inch 1080p display, Quad core Snapdragon 801 processor and a depth of field sensor to refocus and apply different effects to the foreground and background elements individually.

The phone also incorporates Smart Sensor Hub that uses Motion Launch to make tasks easier. The Duo Camera technology delivers professional photos and HTC BoomSound sets the bar for smartphone audio.

Inheriting the same design element of G2, the LG G3 is the first smartphone to introduce a Quad HD display (1440P). The phone also includes an infrared hybrid autofocus system for the camera. LG boasted the device's plastic "metallic skin" giving the device a higher quality appearance with a simpler user interface.

G3 touts an intuitive UX in a 5.5-inch Quad HD display, 13MP OIS+ camera with laser audio focus, through balanced and beautiful design.

Moto X is the first Motorola manufactured Android smartphone after the acquisition by Google. It is mainly famous for Google integration, better voice recognition and contextual awareness. Interestingly, Motorola tried to put every possible features without a hefty price tag.

Following the huge accolade for the first version, the US company launched the second generation Moto X with a better configuration and aesthetics.

The Samsung Note Edge has a few unique smart features like a quick launch bar to put the user's favourite apps assigned to the edge, a notification bar that previews incoming call, texts or e-mails. The edge is also being used to control the camera app, which has a dedicated software key camera shutter on one side and camera settings on the rest of the edge. It is also used as music controls, to preview incoming social network status updates, weather information, sport scores and more.

The device features "Quick Tools", which allows the users to access a ruler, a stopwatch, a timer, and can be used to turn on the LED as a flashlight and a voice recorder easily.
