Popular channel Zee TV is going through some major changes when it comes to their shows. After reports emerged that their ongoing shows, which have been airing from Monday to Friday, would be extended by another day, the channel is now all set to launch some new shows early next year.

It has been reported that the channel's new show has roped in popular actor Pearl V Puri to play the lead.

The yet to be titled show will see Pearl opposite Hiba Nawab, who was last seen in "Tere Sheher Mein". Both Pearl and Hiba will soon shoot the promo of the show.

"Pearl, Hiba and noted Bengali actress, Anindita Saha have already been locked," a source told Telly Chakkar.

The untitled show will be produced by Siddharth Kumar Tewary, Rahul Kumar Tewary and Saba Mumtaz under their newly formed banner Mumtaz Saba Productions. Tewary has delivered many hits like "Mahabharat" and "Razia Sultan", while writer Saba was associated with shows like "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai", "Saraswatichandra", "Bade Achche Laggte Hain" and "Uttaran" among others.

The news will surely excite Pearl's fans, who have been missing him from the small screens for a while now.

Pearl rose to fame with Star Plus' "Phir Bhi Na Maane...Badtameez Dil" where he played the role of Abeer. Both Abeer and Meher's (Asmita Sood) sizzling on-screen chemistry was loved by their fans.

It was said that despite having managed to impress its viewers, "Phir Bhi Na Maane...Badtameez Dil" was facing drastic fall in the TRP ratings, forcing the makers to pull the plug. The show later went on air on digital platform Hotstar.
