Bhopal / New Delhi/ Nagpur / Kanpur, July 01 (ANI): Oil Companies have raised the petrol and diesel prices by Rs 1.69 and Rs. 0.50 per litre respectively. The Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) attributed the move to the rise in price of crude oil and forex market. Reacting over this, Food Minister, Ram Vilas Paswan, said situation was beyond their control. Meanwhile, Congress leader, Manish Tewari, hit out at the central government. BJP leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy said that Iraq crisis is responsible for the situation. Ahead of his maiden budget, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley is grappling with a food inflation scare, and now faces the risk that higher oil prices could swell the government's subsidy bill.
