Srinagar, Jan 26 (ANI): Kashmir is well known as the valley of the saints. From time immemorial, the saints have been coming here and teaching Sufism to people. One such saint was Syed Mohd Ishaq (RA) who taught brotherhood to people of different communities. To pay homage and seek his blessings, his followers celebrate his annual urs at his shrine in Lasjan, Srinagar. The Urs takes place with full spirit aimed at maintaining brotherhood, peace and prosperity in the valley. Men and women form part of the celebration, holding prayers for their wellness. People from different parts of the state pay a visit to this shrine. The shrines of the saints serve as binding force to bring people, belonging to different communities, together and embrace oneness which the saints taught to them.
