The title of Pawan Kalyan's upcoming film has been confirmed to be "Atharintiki Daaredi". The makers have also revealed the release date as 7 August.

"It's Official!! title is Atharintiki Daaredi and the release date is confirmed on 7 August. Confirmed by the production office! cheers!!!," Jeevi, editor and reviewer of idlebrain.com, tweeted on micro-blogging site Twitter.

Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, "Atharintiki Daaredi" has Samantha playing the female lead opposite Pawan Kalyan. It was Samantha who revealed that the film has been titled "Atharintiki Daaredi" a few weeks ago. But BVSN Prasad, who is producing the film under Sri Venkateshwara Cine Chitra banner, confirmed the official title and release date only this week.

"Atharintiki Daaredi", which is expected to be a family entertainer with all the commercial elements, is Pawan Kalyan's first film to be released this year. The actor's last two releases - "Gabbar Singh" and "Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu", were big hits. In particular, "Gabbar Singh" was one of the biggest grosser of Telugu films in 2012. With the release of "Atharintiki Daaredi", Pawan's fans hope he bags another hit for the third time.

"Atharintiki Daaredi" is in the final stages of completion. It has been extensively shot in places across India and Europe. The audio launch is expected to take place on 19 July.

Earlier, there were reports that Pawan's film might clash with Jr NTR's "Ramayya Vastavayya", which was reportedly slated for release on 9 August, to cash in on Eid weekend as well as Independence Day weekend. But the makers of "Ramayya Vastavayya" have pushed the film's release to September. Pawan's film might enjoy a solo big release in India and overseas markets.

After Trivikram's film, Pawan will start working for "Gabbar Singh 2", directed by Sampath Nandi. Shruti Haasan is the leading lady in the action film, which is a sequel to "Gabbar Singh."
