Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan‏ has requested the MPs of Andhra Pradesh to take a cue from Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and appeal Prime Minister Narendra Modi against privatising Dredging Corporation of India.

On Saturday, Palaniswami had written a letter to PM Modi, requesting not to privatise the Salem Steel Plant (SSP). In the letter to the Prime Minister, the Tamil Nadu chief minister said the reasons for the SSP's recent losses must be studied and given a chance to improve its efficiency to show growth.

Pawan Kalyan, who is currently juggling his political and shooting schedules, took his Twitter account this morning. In a series of posts, the power star appealed the AP MPs to take inspiration from the TN CM and give a representation to the PM on the same. Meanwhile, he also requested them to keep their personal and party-centric politics aside and work for the better future for younger generations.

The actor-turned-politician tweeted: "I request AP MPs should give a representation to Hon.PM Sri.Narendra Modi Ji not to privatise the Profit making DCI (Dredging corporation of India) by taking cue from Tamilnadu CM appealing the PM not to privatise it's Salem steel plant though in losses.

"If Tamilnadu Leaders could stand by their people for a similar issue there and I wonder! What prevents the AP leaders to do the same."

"On the political Periphery Of AP, DCI privatisation might look trivial to NewDelhi but with the background of Haphazard Bifurcation process & denial of constitutionally promised Spl.category status - who knows how things might turn."

"The time has come to put an end to Personal & Party centric politics and we have to bring back the accountability in Politics and if not..the younger & future generations will pay a hefty price irrespective of caste, creed, region & religion."
