Sri Lanka is playing against Pakistan on Monday to qualify for the semi-finals in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2017. Although Sri Lanka has been performing well in the tournament, there is one reason that may cause the team's defeat today. The reason is one gorgeous lady from Pakistan – Zainab Abbas.

It may sound funny, but Zainab, who is a sports journalist from Pakistan, has been proving to be a jinx for all the players with whom she has been taking selfies, at least Twitterati believes so. And her latest target is Sri Lanka team captain Angelo Mathews.

A funny trend shows that a selfie with Zainab before the match with Pakistan makes the other team lose the match. First, she had clicked a selfie with AB De Villiers from South Africa just before the match with Pakistan. She had captioned the picture on Twitter as "Told him to go easy on us tomorrow. AB the man! #ABdeVilliers #PakvsSA." Eventually, Pakistan had defeated the mighty team of South Africa.

The next victim was Indian skipper Virat Kohli. The cricketer had clicked a selfie with Zainab prior to the match with Sri Lanka, and India lost the match even after scoring 319 runs.

Even South Africa's Kasigo Rabada apparently became a victim of selfie with Zainab as he had failed to take any wickets, and had gotten out while scoring just five runs.

These strange coincidences got instantly noticed by Twitterati, who soon started asking Zainab to click pictures with players from the team which they want to see defeated in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017. The pretty lady has abided by the demands of her Pakistani followers and got a selfie with Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews with a caption saying, "On popular demand, I've done my job. Now get in there and win it. #12thMan #PAKvSL"

While Mathews played decent enough, scoring 39 runs in the match against Pakistan, it will be interesting to see if his team can break the trend set by Zainab, and go ahead into the semi-finals.
